Arsenal midfielder Jeff Reine-Adelaide has labelled Spanish midfielder Santi Cazorla a ‘magician’ who has ‘superb natural ability’.
Reine-Adelaide joined the Gunners during the 2015-16 season from Ligue 1 side RC Lens, having played for their U19 side before his arrival at the Emirates.
The 19-year-old says he is grateful for the opportunity to train with top-level players, and admires Cazorla’s work rate and tactical abilities on and off the ball.
‘I look up to them all. If I had to name one, it would have to be Santi Cazorla,’ Reine-Adelaide told the Arsenal website. ‘He has superb natural ability, he can play with either foot, he can do anything. I think he’s a magician.
‘When you watch him play, you can sense he is really serene, because he knows exactly what he is doing. Whatever the situation, he will win the ball cleanly. I try to be like that, so I can play like him.’
Over the course of his career, Reine-Adelaide has scored three goals and assisted five from 36 appearances playing for the likes of RC Lens and Arsenal.
Meanwhile, Cazorla has so far netted a total of 29 goals from 180 appearances in all competitions during his five-year stay at the Emirates.
Arsenal will next take on Manchester City when the two sides lock horns in the Premier League on Sunday. The match at the Etihad Stadium kicks off at 17:00.
