Manchester City midfielder Yaya Toure believes Gabriel Jesus is a special talent but has urged the Brazilian to remain focused on improving his game.
The Brazilian scored two goals as the blues ran out 2-1 winners over Swansea City at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday, a result that moved them up to third in the Premier League table.
The 19-year-old has now scored three goals in three appearances since his move from Brazilian Serie A side Palmeiras during January transfer window.
Toure admits that he has been impressed with the start the 19-year-old has made at the club but warned Jesus to stay composed and focus on the task at hand.
‘He is a very good player, he’s very quick, sharp and clever,’ Toure told the Manchester City website.
‘We realise we have to be careful, though, and we shouldn’t get too excited because he has to be focused.
‘What we want to do is just continue to keep going and at the end of the season, we can talk about him. We have to keep focused because we have important games coming up and we have to be ready for that as well.’
Over the Course of his career, Jesus has netted a total of 24 goals and has assisted a further eight from 51 appearances in all competitions playing for Palmeiras and Manchester City.
Manchester City travel to the Vitality Stadium when they take on Bournemouth in the Premier League on Monday.
