Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has labelled the December/January fixture list as the most ‘uneven’ he has seen in the last 20 years.
The Gunners face Bournemouth on Tuesday at Dean Court just 48 hours after beating Crystal Palace 2-0 while Chelsea have the luxury of a further 24 hours before they face Spurs.
‘It is, in 20 years, the most uneven Christmas period I have seen on the fixture front,’ said the 67-year-old Frenchman.
‘The difference of rest periods is absolutely unbelievable, compared to the other teams it is unbelievable.’
In team news, midfielders Aaron Ramsey and Francis Coquelin and German defender Shkodran Mustafi are all available for the clash against the Cherries after sitting out the win over Crystal Palace.
‘Every game is so difficult in this Premier League that we go now into a game in 48 hours’ time with a big handicap on the fixtures,’ the Frenchman concluded.
