Arsenal missed out on the chance to go top of the Premier League table after Everton came from behind to clinch a 2-1 victory at Goodison Park on Tuesday.
Toffees defender Ashley Williams’ scored an 86th-minute header to completed his side’s comeback for the home side after Seamus Coleman 44th minute goal cancelled out Alexis Sanchez’s deflected free-kick in the 20th minute.
Everton defender Phil Jagielka was sent off in the closing stages of the match for a second yellow card, which now rules him out of the Merseyside derby against Liverpool on December 19.
The loss leaves Arsenal in second place, three points behind Chelsea who have a game in hand.
Everton moved up to seventh, a point behind Manchester United.
