Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho says he is excited by the fiery atmosphere that will await them in their Europa League clash against Saint-Etienne on Wednesday.
The Red Devils will next take on the French Ligue 1 side in their round of 32, second leg tie at the Stade Geoffroy-Guichard on Wednesday.
United clinched a 3-0 victory over the French side in the first leg at Old Trafford last Thursday, following a hat-trick by Swedish striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
The Portuguese manager admitted that he is looking forward to the experience and will be hoping for a positive outcome in the match to book their place in the next round of the competition.
‘I played here with Porto and I came back later for Saint-Etienne versus Olympique Lyon because I was getting Lyon in the Champions League draw,’ Mourinho told the Manchester United website.
‘I know the stadium is more beautiful now, but I know the stadium, I know the atmosphere, and I know that tomorrow will be amazing to play.
‘I want to enjoy the atmosphere, my players want to enjoy the atmosphere, and hopefully it’s a very good match for everyone.’
Meanwhile, Anthony Martial says he expects a ‘big’ and ‘great’ atmosphere at Stade Geoffroy-Guichard, having already played at the stadium as a Monaco player.
‘It is a big atmosphere, a great atmosphere, maybe the greatest in France and we know their fans will motivate them very well,’ Martial said.
‘We need to keep our focus and score a goal that will end their hopes of qualification.’
Manchester United will now travel to the Stade Geoffroy-Guichard when they take on Saint-Etienne in the Europa League on Wednesday.
Kick-off has been scheduled for 19:00.
