Bertrand Traore scored twice as Ajax Amsterdam ran rampant over Lyon after claiming a comfortable 4-1 victory at the Amsterdam Arena in the Europa League semi-final first-leg on Wednesday.
The on-loan Chelsea forward opened the scoring in the 25th minute after latching onto a cross to head the ball into the far post before setting up Kasper Dolberg for a second.
Amin Younes then added a third just after the half-time break before and Traore rounded off the scoring for the hosts. after Mathieu Valbuena had grabbed Lyon’s away goal on 66 minutes.
However, Lyon did grab a consolation goal in the 66th minute when Mathieu Valbuena unleashed a strike from just inside the box as the match ended 4-1 in favour of Ajax.
