Manchester City midfielder Yaya Toure believes his side fully deserved their victory over Crystal Palace in the FA Cup fourth round on Saturday.
The Blues claimed a comfortable 3-0 victory over Palace at Selhurst Park through goals by Raheem Sterling, Leroy Sane and Yaya Toure.
The 33-year-old has praised the quality of his side’s performance against the Eagles and he believes City deserved nothing more than a victory in their fourth round triumph.
‘We deserved it and in the first half, we controlled the game.We created some chances and after that Raheem took his chance and the game opened up,’ Toure told the Manchester City website.
‘In the second half they pushed up a little bit but with the quality of players we have, we did the job today.
‘When we play against tough teams like Crystal Palace, they were playing well and they’re very strong and but we’ve been working well this week.’
Manchester City will now turn their focus back to the Premier League when they take on West Ham United at the London Stadium on Wednesday.
Kick-off has been set for 21:45.
