Meanwhile, Brazilian star Neymar is the third highest earner with €55.5-million ahead of Madrid forward Gareth Bale with €41-million and Hebei Fortune forward Ezequiel Lavezzi with €28.5-million.

While Ezequiel Lavezzi, who plays for Chinese Super League Hebei Fortune is in fifth place with an earning of €28.5-million.

However, Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho is the best-paid coach in the game with an earning of €28-million.

France Football said it based its figures on salary, bonuses and advertising income for the 2016-2017 season.
