Orlando Pirates goalkeeper Sipho Chaine has reacted to his heroic performance in the penalty shoot-out in the final of the MTN8.
The 26-year-old walked away with the Man of the Match award after he made three saves in the shoot-out to secure his side the trophy.
The Buccaneers have now claimed back-to-back MTN8 trophies after their triumph at the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban.
Chaine has praised God for helping him on his journey as he believes he is a “product of his grace” following his stellar performance against Sundowns.
“I really don’t know, I might try and say ‘Ja, we do some home’ ja we do some home but at the end of the day it went our way today and we thank God so much,” Chaine told his club’s official website.
“Where can I start? I said earlier it’s by the grace of God that I’m here, where no one expected me to be where I am today. When I was just a small boy from Bloemfontein, who started off very far you know.
“My journey, unbelievable. I can only say that I’m the product of his grace, each and everyday I go training to work hard, to get better but he’s the master planner, he knows what he has in store for you. All I can do is to just put my trust in him.”
