SuperSport United striker Bradley Grobler has admitted that the mood in the camp is the highest it has been for a long time ahead of the MTN8 final against Cape Town City, writes DEAN WORKMAN.
Matsatsantsa have enjoyed a positive start to the current campaign after they overcame both Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs to seal a spot in Saturday’s MTN8 final against Cape Town City, while also starting their Absa Premiership campaign well by winning four out of their opening six matches, while losing two.

Benni McCarthy’s men on the other hand, may have impressed in the MTN8 by knocking out defending league champions Mamelodi Sundowns on the way to the final, but have endured a difficult start to their league campaign.
City have won only once in their opening six games, and although that victory was over SuperSport United it was at the start of the season.
When asked if form will have a part to play in who lifts the trophy, Grobler admitted that although it is a once off game, their good form has boosted their confidence.

‘It would be easy for me to say no it’s a once off game, which it is and on the day any team can win, but 100% I think that form does help.
‘I think the mood in our camp at the moment is as high as I’ve seen it for a long time. So, in terms of confidence and mood in the team, results do play a part.
‘But on the day, we still have to go out there and put in a good performance against a really good team with a lot of pace and a coach that has got players enjoying themselves.
‘Even though results have not been the greatest, they are still a good team and anybody who underestimates them will suffer,’ concluded the Bafana Bafana striker.
