Pitso Mosimane is likely to field his strongest Mamelodi Sundowns outfit against Cape Town City in the MTN8 semi-final, but defender Taariq Fielies insists it doesn’t matter which side they come up against on Sunday.
The Citizens hold a 1-0 advantage going into the second leg, courtesy of Fielies’ lone strike that downed Masandawana in the first leg of their clash at the Cape Town Stadium last week.
Fielies, who put in a Man of the Match performance in Cape Town, admitted he was shocked at the team that the former Caf Champions League winners chose to field in their first-leg clash.

Benni McCarthy’s side were arguably unlucky not to have scored more than one goal against the new-look Sundowns side.
When quizzed about his side’s chances of completing the job in Pretoria, knowing that Pitso is likely to unleash his big guns on the back of his side’s Caf Champions League elimination at the hands of Horoya, Fielies seemed unfazed, saying that the team’s goal remained the same, despite who Pitso opts to field on the day, and that chances missed are part of the game.

‘In football, you either miss or you score and it can get frustrating at times,’ he told TFG SoccerClub.
‘But we are all there to help each other and we keep motivating each other – that saying that “it’s going to come”.
‘About missed goal-scoring opportunities, it’s not really a concern. Our strikers are continuously working on it so we still have belief [that they will score more].

‘It doesn’t matter which side Pitso fields on the day. Sundowns is Sundowns, they are all representing one badge, so on the day we are not playing against individuals, but rather against Sundowns,’ he concluded.
The two sides do duty at the Lucas Moripe Stadium on Sunday with kick-off set for 3pm.
