The Buccaneers are a squad revitalised after the arrival of Milutin Sredojevic last season and will be hoping to improve on their second-place finish in the Absa Premiership while also adding a cup title along the way.
Speaking to the media at the launch of the MTN8, Jele was asked if winning the competition would help inspire the squad to further silverware. He responded: ‘I think this is going to motivate each and everyone [the Pirates players and staff].

‘It [success in the MTN8] would help make each and every player believe that we could win trophies.
‘This is going to be a motivation and we are going to try and work even harder and put more effort in so we can get this silverware,’ Jele concluded.
The Buccaneers will take on defending champions SuperSport United next week Saturday.
