Mamelodi Sundowns coach Rulani Mokwena has praised Themba Zwane and believes South Africa will find it difficult in producing another player of his quality and calibre.
Zwane has been at Sundowns since joining the club from Vardos FC back on 1 January 2011.
He has since become a crucial part of the Sundowns squad, having scored 79 goals and registering 55 assists in 368 appearances across all competitions.
The 34-year-old has also won a total of 15 trophies which include seven league titles, three Nedbank Cups, two Telkom Knockout Cups, one MTN8 title and most notably the Caf Champions League and Caf Super Cup trophy.
Rulani has since praised Zwane for his efforts and consistent performance as he believes the attacker makes it easier for the team to play their style of football.
“Mshishi continues to display his intelligence and I am not surprised. I have mentioned this many times – South Africa will face difficulty in producing another player like Themba Zwane.
“He is a unique prototype and a space navigator in the middle of the pitch.
“His body movements are dynamic and we are witnessing a player whose sense of awareness is top-notch. No matter whom he plays with, he finds a way to make those around him click and only intelligent players can achieve that.”
