Kaizer Chiefs have confirmed that midfielder Joseph Molangoane will undergo surgery after breaking his leg against Free State Stars in the MTN8 on Saturday. The 30-year-old went in on for a sliding challenge on Stars midfielder Makhehleni Makhaula, but the clash saw Molangoane stretchered off with a broke leg in the 55th minute of the match and rushed to hospital. The club have revealed that Molangoane will go under the knife to repair his low right leg. ‘Joseph Molangoane will undergo surgery to repair his lower right leg,’ Dr Aadil Bodhania of Kaizer Chiefs’ Medical Department confirmed. ‘Early prognosis indicates a fracture of the distal tibia and fibula to the lower right leg.’ We wish him a speedy recovery.https://t.co/ektYRGBARu#HailTheChief #Amakhosi4Life — Kaizer Chiefs (@KaizerChiefs) August 12, 2018 ALSO READ: Molangoane suffers broken ankle Meanwhile, Man of the Match Siphelele Ntshangase sustained a knock to his ankle and was also stretchered off the field, while goalkeeper Virgil Vries finished the match with a strapping to his knee after slipping while making one of the saves during the match.
