Kaizer Chiefs coach Molefi Ntseki says his players are looking sharp ahead of their MTN8 semi-final fixture against Mamelodi Sundowns on Saturday afternoon.

The Glamour Boys made their way into the final four after they defeated Cape Town City 2-0 at Athlone Stadium when Ashley Du Preez and Edson Castillo cancelled out Marc Van Heerden’s 23rd minute opener.

Sundowns, meanwhile, reached the semi-finals when they secured a narrow 1-0 win over Moroka Swallows courtesy of a 48th-minute goal from Themba Zwane at the Lucas Moripe Stadium in Pretoria.

Ntseki insists his side are ready and well-prepared for the first leg at the FNB Stadium.

“It was a very important win (against Stellenbosch in midweek) coming into this game,” Ntseki told his club’s official website.

“The turnaround period was a bit short in terms of the preparation for this game, and also the freshness from a physical point of view.

“But our sports science department has done very well to keep the players fresh and apply all the recovery mechanisms. The players looked very sharp as we were doing our last preparations.

“We are playing at home, in front of our supporters. We have to make ourselves and our Khosi Nation happy, so that as we walk out of the stadium tomorrow we should be a happy family.”
