Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane has shared his thoughts on Gaston Sirino’s heated exchanges with SuperSport United duo Clayton Daniels and Dean Furman.
The Brazilians’ journey in the MTN8 competition ended when they suffered a 3-1 defeat on aggregate by United, following their 2-0 loss in the semi-final second leg at the Lucas Moripe Stadium on Wednesday evening.
However, one of the main talking points in the game was the scuffle involving Sirino, who was seen placing his hands on Daniels and Furman.

The Uruguayan received a yellow card for his transgression, but Mosimane played down the heated incident and stated that it’s part of football.
‘But when you have Clayton [Daniels], you know [Gaston] Sirino has a small body. It’s OK, it’s part of the game, we accept it, especially when you lose, you don’t want to talk much about that because it looks like you’re making excuses,’ Mosimane told SuperSport TV after the game.
‘We will just pick ourselves up and move on. We got bigger things to do. This one [MTN8 Cup] is eluding us as always, but it’s OK.’
Mamelodi Sundowns will be hoping to bounce back when they take on Maritzburg United in their next Absa Premiership clash at the Lucas Moripe Stadium on Saturday, with kick-off set for 6pm.
