Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane believes SuperSport United will be more formidable in the MTN8 semi-final second leg at the Lucas Moripe Stadium on 18 September.
The Brazilians managed to secure a vital away goal in the first leg of the top-eight competition after playing out to a 1-1 draw at the same venue last weekend.
Thamsanqa Gabuza opened the scoring for Matsatsantsa after nodding home an Onismor Bhasera cross before Gaston Sirino levelled matters moments later, forcing the game to be settled in the return leg.
Mosimane is looking forward to the second leg after securing an away goal, which he believes could help them progress to the final of the competition.
‘We played away and we drew, so we must not be ungrateful for what we got. We need to play our normal game in the second leg. I can see they will double their efforts when it’s our home game,’ Mosimane told his club’s official website.
‘We played well in patches. But they know we can score, and they will be in trouble.’
Mamelodi Sundowns against SuperSport United kicks off at 7:30pm.
