Kaizer Chiefs coach Giovanni Solinas has wished Benni McCarthy and Cape Town City well for their MTN8 final against SuperSport United on Saturday.
The Italian mentor got the better of the Mother City outfit in their league encounter after a brace by Khama Billiat and further goals from Siyabonga Ngezana and Philani Zulu saw Chiefs claim their first league victory of the 2018-19 season.

Chiefs could have booked their spot in the final of the MTN8, but three goals in two games from Bafana Bafana striker Bradley Grobler saw SuperSport book their spot in the final instead.
Despite being denied his first taste of silverware as Chiefs mentor, Solinas showed his class by wishing the Citizens all the best in their crucial tie against Kaitano Tembo’s side at the Moses Mabhida Stadium.
‘Cape Town City is a very good team, good players, Benni is a very good coach, young and good idea of coaching,’ Solinas told the media at a press conference.
‘In the future, Benni will become a good coach, it was a difficult game for us because Cape Town [City] is a strong team. I am happy for City because they are in the final and I wish all the best for Cape Town City for the final game,’ he concluded.
