SuperSport United coach Kaitano Tembo has warned his side not to underestimate Highlands Park ahead of the MTN8 final.
Matsatsantsa advanced to their third-successive MTN8 final after claiming a 3-1 aggregate win over Tshwane rivals Mamelodi Sundowns at the Lucas Moripe Stadium on Wednesday evening.
SuperSport will now battle the Lions of the North for glory in the top-eight competition when they meet at the Orlando Stadium on 5 October.
Tembo says he is proud of his side’s performance as they played his instructions to the tee.
‘We are happy to go to Orlando Stadium. It’s a good venue. We have to remain humble because we are going to face a hungry Highlands Park side that wants to win,’ Tembo told the media.
‘I’m very proud of my guys. Tactically we were really smart. When we needed to press, we did that. When we needed to catch them on transition, we did that.’
SuperSport United will be hoping to continue their winning form when they take on Polokwane City in their next Absa Premiership clash at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium on Saturday, with kick-off set for 3pm.
