Mamelodi Sundowns striker Jeremy Brockie is looking forward to the possibility of winning the Nedbank Cup for the third time in his career.
The 30-year-old recently completed his move to Sundowns from SuperSport United, where he won back-to-back Nedbank Cup titles.
Brockie believes the Brazilians has enough quality within the squad to go all the way in the competition and walk away with the title at the end of the competition.
‘Yeah it will be pretty nice‚’ Brockie said on The Sowetan.
‘It was the first piece of silverware that I won in South Africa and I have managed to go back-to-back with it. I feel I’m in the right team to go and win it for the third time.
‘It’s definitely on my mind and hopefully I can make that achievement.’
The New Zealand international insists he is getting closer and closer to finding his feet at his new club with goals to follow.
‘When you get to a new club‚ you always want to find your feet and put the ball in the back of the net. I didn’t have too many chances against City‚ disappointed with the header that I had against Chiefs,’ he added.
‘I’m slowly getting closer and closer and I’m sure once that first one comes‚ there will be no pressure on me whether from the technical team or players. They know that it will happen when it happens.
‘Once that first one is off my back‚ it will start flowing from there.’
Mamelodi Sundowns will next take on Cape Town All Stars in their Nedbank Cup encounter at Athlone Stadium on Friday, with kick-off at 20:00.
