Kaizer Chiefs attacker Keagan Dolly says the most important thing is to focus on defeating a tough Royal AM side and secure their place in the semi-finals of the Nedbank Cup.

The Glamour Boys are scheduled to face Thwihli Thwahla in the quarter-final of the Nedbank Cup when the two sides square off at the Chatsworth Stadium on Sunday evening.

Amakhosi will come into this fixture after they secured a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Motsepe Foundation Championship side Casric Stars FC in the round of 16 at the FNB Stadium on March 12.

Royal AM, meanwhile, booked their place in the quarter-finals after they clinched a 3-1 victory over DStv Premiership side Golden Arrows at the Princess Magogo Stadium on March 11.

Dolly is expecting a tough battle against Royal AM but feels like this is the perfect opportunity for the team to win a piece of silverware this season.

“This is the opportunity for us to play for something,” Dolly told his club’s official website.

“This is a different game to a league game. We have to win no matter how we play. What is important for us is to get to the semi-finals.

“Royal AM are a good team but we did beat them the last time we played against them which gives us confidence for this game. We want to get into the semi-final and, ultimately, lift the cup for our supporters.”
