Kaizer Chiefs booked their place in the semi-finals of the Nedbank Cup after they defeated Royal AM 2-1 at the Chatsworth Stadium on Sunday.

Thwihli Thwahla broke the deadlock in the 28th minute through a header by Samuel Manganyi before Thabo Matlaba’s own goal levelled matters before the half time interval.

However, Amakhosi grabbed the winning goal in stoppage time when Yusuf Maart slotted the ball home from the penalty spot in extra-time, sealing Chiefs’ progression in the competition.
