The 32-year-old returned to the Amakhosi starting lineup and kept a clean sheet during their 1-0 victory over Royal Eagles in the Nedbank Cup last 32.
Khune last featured for the Soweto giants against Baroka in October last year, but was forced off the field in the first half after being injured.
This was only Khune’s third appearance for the 2019-20 season, having featured against AmaZulu, Baroka and Royal Eagles, while he was named on the bench eight times this campaign.
