Orlando Pirates coach Kjell Jonevret will be hoping his side can redeem themselves against Free State Stars when the two sides meet in the Nedbank Cup on Saturday.
The Soweto giants are out to take revenge on Ea Lla Koto, after suffering a 3-2 defeat against them in the Absa Premiership clash at the James Motlatsi Stadium on Saturday.
The Swiss coach insists that his side are hoping to rectify the previous result against Ea Lla Koto when the two sides face off in the Last 16.
‘The spirit in the dressing room is to go and rectify this past weekend’s result and I hope that we will win when we meet them again,’ Jonevret said at a press conference.
The Sea Robbers are currently placed 11th in the Absa Premiership standings with 23 points, having won just four out of 21 matches played so far this season.
Meanwhile, Stars currently occupy 14th place with 22 points and have won five out of two matches played.
Jonevret admits that his side have to start turning their performances into positive results, but he insists that it is early to start talking about relegation.
‘We need to work hard and start getting positive results in order to move up the log, but it’s too early to start talking relegation,’ he added.
Orlando Pirates will now go head-to-head against Free State Stars in the Nedbank Cup Round of 16 at the James Motlatsi Stadium on Saturday.
Kick-off has been set for 20:15.
