Free State Stars coach Serame Letsoaka says he has the belief and confident that Ea Lla Koto can go all the way in the Nedbank Cup.
Ea Lla Koto booked their place in the Last 16 after they beat Highlands Park 2-0 at Goble Park courtesy of goals by Nhlanhla Vilakazi and Goodman Dlamini.
Letsoaka admits he was pleased with the reaction he sought from his players to avenge their recent Premiership defeat to Gordon Igesund’s side and wants to use the triumph to create momentum going forward.
The 53-year-old says he was delighted with his side’s winning mentality after producing an improved performance against the Lions of the North.
‘We saw a different attitude from last week defeat against Highlands Park, my players played very well and responded very well tactically,’ Letsoaka told the Free State Stars website.
‘The players came with a good winning attitude and they knew we had to win this one.’
Letsoaka says he will be hoping his side can make it all the way to lift the Nedbank Cup, having last won the competition back in 1994.
‘We want to go all the way as far as the Nedbank cup is concerned. I mean the last time we won the cup was back in 1994,’ He added.
‘We are not going to undermine any opposition given to us during the Nedbank stage, we will be going all out in every match we play whether it’s cup or league fixtures.
‘Winning matches will help to build to the next game so it is important that we continue to play well and win matches.
Free State Stars will turn their attention back to the Absa Premiership when they travel to Athlone Stadium to take on Ajax Cape Town on Friday.
Kick-off has been set for 20:00.
