Chippa United coach Morgan Mammila admits that Polokwane City gave them a run for their money in their 3-1 win on penalties to advance to the last 16 of the Nedbank Cup.

Francis Baloyi opened the scoring for Rise and Shine in the second minute but Thabiso Lebitso levelled matters 10 minutes later to force the game into a penalty shootout after the scoreline remained 1-1 after 120 minutes of play.

The Chilli Boys held their nerve in the shootout to secure a 3-1 win on penalties at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium to secure their spot in the last 16 of the competition.
