Free State Stars captain Paulus Masehe says he has no plans to retire and wants to finish his 10th campaign with Ea Lla Koto next season, writes DYLAN APPOLIS.
Ea Lla Koto claimed their first piece of silverware in 24-years after claiming a 1-0 victory over the Team of Choice at Cape Town Stadium on Saturday courtesy of a goal from Goodman Dlamini.
Masehe, who was named the Man of the Match, says he would like to finish his 10th campaign with Stars next season whether he plays regular football or not.
‘I would like to finish my 10th season at Free State Stars which is next season,’ Masehe told the media.
‘It doesn’t matter whether I play regularly or not, I just want to finish that beautiful milestone of finishing 10 seasons in this beautiful team of ours.
‘It comes from a whole lot of dedication, discipline and understanding what exactly the coach wants. The demands of the game also to respect yourself as a professional soccer player.
‘To know that each time in your career, there are certain things you need to cut in your life and have to concentrate only on football.
‘And I hope this is an example to upcoming youngsters that it is possible. It doesn’t matter how difficult, you can still reach this milestone wherever you are.’
