Kaizer Chiefs coach Ernst Middendorp singled out trio Khama Billiat, Willard Katsande and Andriamirado ‘Dax’ Andrianarimanana for special praise after the Nedbank Cup semi-final victory over Chippa United.
Chiefs booked their spot in the final, where they will face NFD outfit TS Galaxy, after a thrilling 4-2 victory over the Chilli Boys on Saturday evening.
The result saw Amakhosi take a step closer to ending their dreaded trophy drought after some big performances from their top players against Chippa.
Middendorp, speaking to SuperSport TV after the game, praised the trio for their top class performances.
‘Congratulations to Khama, definitely man-of-the-match, said Middendorp.
‘I have criticised these players before. But Willard Katsande was also excellent, a great leader. Definitely could have been a candidate, but there can only be one.

‘I probably waited a little bit long to bring ‘Dax’ in. I should have probably tried to bring him in earlier. A player with real high quality. I believe there’s much more to come. Not only the shooting from distance but his one-on-one play and able to penetrate the space and his passing, too,’ added the German tactician.
