Mamelodi Sundowns coach Rulani Mokwena admits he is under a lot of pressure, not just to win matches but to bring home silverware for the club.
The Brazilians made it to the quarter-finals of the Nedbank Cup after they defeated Maritzburg United 2-0 at the Lucas Moripe Stadium, courtesy of a brace by Thembinkosi Lorch.
The Tshwane giant have now been pitted against AmaTuks in the quarter-final after beating Moroka Swallows 2-1 at the Tuks Stadium last Wednesday.
Mokwena commented about the pressure of winning their next match and ultimately the entire competition.
“I’m under a lot of pressure. I have to win every game but that’s the nature of the business,” Mokwena told his club’s official website.
“When you are at a big club like Mamelodi Sundowns, winning is not enough. You got to win and continue to win and that’s my life and it’s something I’ve accepted.”
