Orlando Pirates midfielder Thabang Monare says his side will come into this fixture giving Venda Football Academy the level of respect they deserve ahead of their Nedbank Cup last 16 match.
The Buccaneers advanced to this stage of the tournament after clinching a 2-0 victory over All Stars thanks to goals from Monnapule Saleng and Thembinkosi Lorch at the Bidvest Stadium on 11 February.
Venda, meanwhile, secured a 2-1 victory over FC Black Cross in the round of 32 to secure their place in the last 16 of the competition.
Pirates have since been drawn against Venda Football Academy following the conclusion of the last 16 draw on Wednesday evening.
This will be the first meeting between the two teams and Monare admits they are not well-informed about how their next opponents with setup or their playing style.
“For me, it becomes a very difficult draw especially when you play against a team you are not really well informed about in terms of their formations, their tactics and the way they play.
“But we will definitely give this game the level of respect as professionals. It’s kind of a tricky fixture you know in playing a team that you don’t know how they form or setup, how they approach (the game).
“But we’ll be professional and approach this game with a good level of respect, a good mentality and a good attitude.
