Kaizer Chiefs veteran Bernard Parker has called on his teammates to show the right attitude as they attempt to end their trophy drought against NFD side TS Galaxy in the Nedbank Cup final.
Chiefs go into the game under a lot of pressure following their poor end to their Absa Premiership campaign, where seven games without a win saw them finish ninth.
It was the first time Amakhosi have finished outside the top eight in twelve years, and Parker was asked what would be required from his side in order to ensure that they brought some respectability back to their season.
‘The only mentality we need is for us to keep the right energy levels and the right attitude levels,’ said Parker in the buildup to the game.

‘We need to go out there and play with desire and passion, and most importantly with our hearts.
‘Tactics and all those other things don’t matter,’ added the forward.
‘Sometimes, when we have had hiccups and we didn’t get the results, was because those levels were below par and the quality and our ability didn’t get us what we needed.
‘That has been a challenge for us and between the tactical staff and the players we know what it will take to win,’ concluded Parker.
