Mamelodi Sundowns and Kaizer Chiefs are preparing for a mouth-watering fixture when they go head-to-head in the Nedbank Cup semi-final at Loftus Versfeld Stadium on Sunday.

The Brazilians began their journey in the second round when they cruised to a comfortable 5-2 victory over Sibanye Golden Stars FC at Loftus Versfeld Stadium on Saturday, January 25.

Sundowns went on to secure a 2-0 win over Mpheni Home Defenders FC in the round of 16 played at Loftus Versfeld Stadium on Sunday, February 16.

The Tshwane giants advanced to the semi-final after they claimed a 1-0 win over Sekhukhune United in extra-time at the Lucas Moripe Stadium on Friday, March 28.

The Soweto giants journey in the competition started with a 4-0 hammering of Free Agent FC in the second round at the FNB Stadium on Sunday, January 26.

Amakhosi followed that performance up with a comfortable 2-0 win over Chippa United in the round of 16 played at the FNB Stadium on Saturday, February 15.

The Glamour Boys booked their spot in the semi-finals after they secured a 3-1 victory over Stellenbosch FC in the quarter-final played at the Danie Craven Stadium on Saturday, March 08
