Cape Town City winger Bradley Ralani says he was satisfied with his side’s overall performance, despite suffering a 2-1 defeat against Mamelodi Sundowns on Sunday afternoon.
The Citizens were eliminated from the Nedbank Cup in the quarter-final after goals from Percy Tau and Hlompho Kekana cancelled out Ralani’s 69th-minute goal.
Ralani, who was named Man of the Match, believes his side had a very good game, despite not converting their chances in the final third.
‘It was nice to be on the field today. Sundowns is a very good team so I had to show my quality against a team like this you know. It’s good,’ Ralani told SuperSport TV after the match.
‘I hoped the one time or two I broke through we could have got one or two goals in the first half but we couldn’t and they got us on a counter in the second half and scored the goal.
‘We had a very good game but they took it all, it’s unfortunate for us. This is my best game for City so far I think.’
