Orlando Pirates coach Jose Riveiro has praised Kabelo Dlamini following his display against Chippa United in the Nedbank Cup.
Dlamini continued his form in the Nedbank Cup after scoring a brace to help his side secure a 3-1 victory over the Chilli Boys at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium in Gqeberha.
The Buccaneers have now advanced to the final of the competition, where they will take on Mamelodi Sundowns at the Mbombela Stadium on June 1.
Riveiro reserved special praise for the midfielder and has applauded his contributions this season and the season before that, stating, “we don’t give him the flowers he deserves”.
“I think ‘KB’ is an excellent football player,” Riveiro told SuperSport TV after the game.
“He understands football very well and has the quality to execute, so what else?
“Sometimes we don’t give him the flowers he deserves.
“He is sometimes in the shadow but his contribution to this team the last two seasons at least he has been excellent and I think he hasn’t touched his best capacity, he’s still improving.”
