Defending champions SuperSport United have been drawn against Kaizer Chiefs in the Nedbank Cup following the quarter-final draw on Monday.

The Glamour Boys made their way to the last eight of the competition after they beat Acornbush United 2-1 at the Kabokweni Stadium when a brace by Gustavo Paez cancelled out Mudzunga Sidumo’s 43-minute opener.

Matsatsantsa progressed to the next round when they defeated KwaDukuza United 2-0 at the Sugar Ray Xulu Stadium through goals by Mandla Masango and Aubrey Modiba.

Meanwhile, Orlando Pirates are set to play Bloemfontein Celtic after they cruised past Free State Stars 4-1 in the previous round, while Celtic beat Mbombela United in the Last 16.

While Golden Arrows take on Absa Premiership rivals Platinum Stars after they both clinched a narrow 1-0 victory over their respective opponents in the previous round.

Jomo Cosmos, the only National First Division side left in the competition made their way to the quarter-finals after they beat Bidvest Wits 5-4 in a penalty shootout and will now take on Chippa United in the next round.

The dates and venues for the Nedbank Cup quarter-finals will be announced in due course.
