Vaal University of Technology goalkeeper Obakeng Naane dreams of playing for Kaizer Chiefs, believing he can replace Itumeleng Khune at Amakhosi.

VUT missed out on the opportunity to continue their journey in the Nedbank Cup by booking their place in the quarter-finals of the competitions.

However, Mamelodi Sundowns humbled the SAB Regional League side after securing a comfortable 2-0 victory at the Lucas Moripe Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

However, Naane strongly believes that he can take Khune’s place in the Amakhosi squad, insisting that he is better than Khune as the Bafana Bafana star ‘is old now’.

‘I would like to play for Kaizer Chiefs. I think I can do better because [Khune] is old now,’ Naane was quoted on KickOff.

‘I can take him out because I think I am a great keeper. I can do better than him.’
