Kaizer Chiefs defender Samkelo Zwane says the club’s history of winning trophies will be a huge motivator for him to help the Soweto giants lift a piece of silverware this season.
The Soweto giants are scheduled to take on Royal AM in the quarter-finals of the Nedbank Cup when the two teams go head-to-head at the Chatsworth Stadium on Sunday evening.
Amakhosi will come into this fixture on a six match unbeaten run across all competition after their recent 1-1 draw against Marumo Gallants this past weekend.
Zwane, who has made nine appearances across all competitions for Chiefs this season, is ready to write his name in the clubs history books by helping them in the search for silverware this season.
“The history of the Club winning trophies is a big motivator. Being a Kaizer Chiefs player, in itself, is a motivator to lift trophies and win things for the Club and make a legacy and being remembered as a legend,” Zwane told his club’s official website.
Kaizer Chiefs against Royal is scheduled to kick off at 6 pm on Sunday evening.
