Ajax Cape Town has been given a major boost after coach Stanley Menzo confirmed that defender Rivaldo Coetzee has returned to full training following his injury setback.
The Urban Warriors will travel to the Lucas Moripe Stadium when they take on SuperSport United in the Absa Premiership on Saturday.
The 53-year-old has confirmed that captain Travis Graham returns from suspension while Lawrence Lartey is suspended after accumulating too many yellow cards.
Meanwhile, Menzo also confirmed that Coetzee has returned to full training after recovering from his injury, while Toriq Losper is sidelined with a long-term injury.
‘Travis is back from suspension, but Lawrence is suspended,’ Menzo told the Ajax Cape Town website.
‘Rivaldo is coming back from injury, he trained this week and today he trained fully with the First Team – he is back in the squad for tomorrow to play on Saturday.
‘The squad is very fit, no big injuries, so I can choose.’
Menzo says his side have prepared well for their clash against Matsatsantsa, but is well aware of the threat they possess, with Stuart Baxter’s side having lost only one game since the start of the season.
‘Especially when you have a good result against one of the top teams, the week after is good,’ he added.
‘There is a good feeling – not only in the team but at the club so that is important. We see the confidence, yes, we suffered to contain their [Kaizer Chiefs] set-pieces, but the team is already busy trying to resolve that problem in preparation for SuperSport.
‘Yes we had a good result, it gives me confidence and makes my work easier if I may say so.’
Ajax Cape Town against SuperSport United kicks off at 20:15.
