Kaizer Chiefs have been dealt a further blow in the bid for the league title after the club confirmed Daniel Akpeyi has been ruled out for the remainder of the 2019-20 season.
The Nigerian shotstopper was forced off in the game against Bidvest Wits at the weekend after suffering a head injury colliding with Wits striker Terrence Dzuvukamanja in a 50-50 challenge inside the box.
Bruce Bvuma was brought on to replace the Nigerian as Chiefs went on to lose 1-0, while club great Itumeleng Khune still looks to be out of favour.
Injury Update

The title chasers have now confirmed that their regular No 1 will miss the last two matches of the season as a result of a concussion.
The 34-year-old joins striker Leonardo Castro, after the Colombian aggravated a hamstring injury that resulted in him leaving the Gauteng bio-bubble.
Khune is likely to return to the match-day squad when Amakhosi take on Chippa United at Orlando Stadium on Wednesday, while 17-year-old Karabo Molefe and Brylon Petersen are also in contention for a spot in the side.
