Kaizer Chiefs have confirmed that midfielder Siphiwe Tshabalala has returned to the first team squad after sustaining an injury setback.
The 32-year-old has been declared fit to play after nursing his way through full training sessions since recovering from a muscle strain injury he sustained two weeks ago.
Amakhosi physiotherapist David Milner has confirmed that Tshabalala will be made available for selection for their penultimate Absa Premiership clash on Wednesday.
‘Shabba is ready to travel to Rustenburg,’ Milner told the Kaizer Chiefs website.
Meanwhile, Chiefs duo Khumalo and Khuzwayo will not travel with the team for Wednesday’s fixture against Platinum Stars due to their respective injuries.
‘Sibusiso Khumalo (knee) and Brilliant Khuzwayo (ankle) are still recovering,” he added. The duo will not travel with the team for Wednesday’s fixture.
The Glamour Boys currently sits fifth in the Absa Premiership standings with 47 points and have won 12 out of 28 matches played so far this season, trailing log leaders Bidvest Wits by 10 points.
Kaizer Chiefs will be hoping to bounce back following their recent defeat against Free State Stars, when they take on Platinum Stars in the Absa Premiership on Wednesday.
The match at the Royal Bafokeng Stadium kicks off at 19:30.
