The Premier Soccer League confirmed that AmaZulu coach Cavin Johnson and striker Emiliano Tade have been named Absa Premiership Coach and Player of the Month for November/December.
The Usuthu duo were crowned Coach and Player of the Month at a press conference in Durban on Wednesday.
Johnson helped his troops claim 10 points in their last five games, while securing three wins, a draw and one defeat. A feat that no coach has done during November and December.
The AmaZulu coach also helped his side climb off the foot of the PSL table and into 11th place with 13 points from 14 matches played, despite Fifa docking six points from them earlier this year.
‘For me it is not about winning the award, it is about thanking the players and the technical team for their work. Behind the scenes there are a lot of people who do great work,’ Johnson said.
Meanwhile, Argentine striker was the standout performer after bagging three goals during that time.
Johnson on Tade: ‘When a guy scores 50 goals in a league it means he knows his way to goal. He has adapted well and we are very proud of him.’
AmaZulu are set to welcome Golden Arrows to the King Zwelithini Stadium in their final Absa Premiership game of 2018.
CONGRATULATIONS to @AmaZuluFootball coach, Cavin Johnson and on-form attacking player, Emiliano Tade.
