Lucky Baloyi has thanked Kaizer Chiefs for their role in his development and insists that he is not bitter about being released by the club.

The 26-year-old midfielder was one of the seven players shipped out by the Soweto giants at the end of the 2016/17 Absa Premiership campaign, and the former Moroka Swallows loanee insists that there is no sour grapes from his side.

‘Not at all,’ he told KickOff.

‘I am grateful for the great opportunities that Chiefs gave me while I was still with the club.

‘It was a matter of game time. This was the reason I went to Swallows last time for game time [loan spell, 2014-2015].

‘I want to go to a team where I am going to get a chance to play,’ he added.

Sheriff, as the player is affectionately known, is said to have piqued the interest of services of Baroka, Chippa United, Polokwane City and Platinum Stars respectively.

Baloyi revealed his intention to remain playing in the top-flight, but said that he is waiting on word from his agent regarding possible suitors.

‘At the moment I am here at home in Mokopane. I am waiting for my manager to update me about any offers,’ he concluded.
