Former Orlando Pirates midfielder Thandani Ntshumayelo has joined Absa Premiership outfit Baroka until the end of the season.

The 29-year-old started training with Bakgaga last week and has since impressed coach Wedson Nyirenda after penning a short-term deal with the club with an added option to sign for two more seasons.

Mphahlele confirmed to Kickoff that the player had signed a deal until the end of the season, with an option for another two years attached.

Baroka chairman Khurishi Mphahlele confirmed that the former SuperSport United joined the club with the chance to extend his stay at the PSL outfit.

‘It’s good news,’ Mphahlele told KickOff.com.

‘Ja, he’s been signed, he has signed until the end of the season with a two-year option.’

Ntshumayelo was banned from football for four years after he was found guilty of allegedly using cocaine back in 2016.

However, the midfielder’s ban has since been lifted in 2018 after successfully appealing against his ban. He was cleared to return to the field by the South African Institute for Drug-Free Sport (SAIDS), after reducing his ban to two years.
