AmaZulu FC coach Benni McCarthy has officially confirmed two new signings ahead of the 2021-22 DStv Premiership season.
Usuthu bolstered their squad as they prepare for the new league campaign as well as their participation in the Caf Champions League this coming season.
The AmaZulu mentor has since confirmed the signing of Mxolisi Kunene and Keagan Buchanan, who both join the club from Maritzburg United.
“We want to thank you for your support. We felt the love from you and we going in full force in the Caf Champions League this season. We will do our best and make you proud in all the competitions from MTN8 to the league title,” McCarthy told the club’s media department.
“The team is looking very good, they’re fit. The two new boys, Keagan Buchanan and Mxolisi Kunene, look good and they’ve settled well into the team.
“Kunene is easy on himself as he just came out from a long injury, he suffered from his time at Maritzburg United.”
McCarthy also congratulated and reserved special praise for Veli Mothwa and Siyethemba Sithebe for their success in the Cosafa Cup with Bafana Bafana.
“I would also like to congratulate Veli Mothwa and Siyethemba Sithebe for their great performances at the Cosafa Cup, being named Goalkeeper and Player of the Tournament,” he added.
“We are proud of the AmaZulu FC product, they will join us at a later stage alongside Augustine Mulenga, who was with his national team.”
