AmaZulu have reportedly decided to part ways with coach Benni McCarthy, according to multiple reports.
The former Cape Town City coach hit the ground running when he came into Ushutu guiding them to a second-place finish in the league last season, qualifying for the Caf Champions League for the first time in their history.
AmaZulu, however, have struggled in the league this season drawing 14 of the 23 league games, picking up only 5 wins to sit ninth in the table 22 points behind log leaders Mamelodi Sundowns.
While there were signs of hope for McCarthy in Champions League but they ultimately failed to get of the group stage as a 2-0 loss to Raja Casablanca ensured their elimination with a game to spare.
With McCarthy growing frustrated and ever more vocal about those frustrations the club have decided to part ways with the 44-year-old according to multiple local reports.
AmaZulu are yet to release a statement.
More to follow as it happens.
