Kaizer Chiefs forward Khama Billiat believes the Soweto giants are edging closer to winning silverware this season.
The Glamour Boys are set to face Cape Town City at Cape Town Stadium in the Telkom Knockout Cup last-16 clash on Saturday.
Having already claimed the Shell Helix Ultra Cup trophy following their 4-2 win over Mamelodi Sundowns last weekend, Billiat is confident that Amakhosi can end their four-year trophy drought.
While Billiat believes it’s only a matter of time before they end their long trophy drought, he has urged his teammates to work even harder.
‘I feel like we are getting closer to winning a trophy but we have to work for it, it won’t come just like that. Everyone needs to think the same way,’ Billiat told the media.
‘We look like we are getting to understand what we need [to win trophies] this time around.
‘I don’t know that. Just now I was greeting him, I don’t know where this is coming from. Come on, I am working with the coach every day. This is the first time I am hearing about it.’
