‘It’s always difficult coming halfway through the season, especially when you come to a team that’s top of the table and already has the combinations and stuff like that set,’ Brockie told Kickoff.com.

‘So I guess the pre-season has given me an opportunity to try make an impact and put my name in the coach’s thoughts when it comes to selecting the first 11.

‘I’ve really worked hard in the last couple of weeks. I am in good shape, feeling fit and I am ready to take my opportunity and make an impact on the club this season.

‘I’ve been scoring goals in training, so the confidence is high. There’s a lot of attacking talent in this team, so I just have to wait for that opportunity.’
