Kaizer Chiefs defender Daniel Cardoso says his side will have a ‘positive mindset’ when they take on Bidvest Wits in the Absa Premiership on Tuesday.

The Glamour Boys played out to a 1-1 draw against Mamelodi Sundowns in their opening Absa Premiership clash on Saturday afternoon.

Cardoso says his side will be hoping to walk away with maximum points after collecting a point against the defending champions in their first league fixture of the season.

‘We will go into the game with a positive mindset,’ Cardoso said ahead of Tuesday night’s game against Bidvest Wits. ‘We will be looking for the three points.’

‘We performed well,’ he a. ‘It was a good start to the season, achieving a point away against the reigning league champions. We dominated the game, playing with confidence.’

The 29-year-old, who played a big role for the Glamour Boys during the 2017-18 campaign, says he is enjoying Chiefs’ new style of play under new coach Giovanni Solinas.

‘It’s our first match at home and we want to do well. We are playing more attacking football and let’s hope that our positive approach will be awarded come Tuesday,’ he concluded.

Kaizer Chiefs will next play host Bidvest Wits in their second Absa Premiership encounter at the FNB Stadium on Tuesday, with kick-off is scheduled for 19:30pm.
