Kaizer Chiefs defender Daniel Cardoso is confident that Amakhosi will reach the final and bring the Telkom Knockout Cup trophy back to Naturena.

The Glamour Boys are set to face Maritzburg United in the TKO semi-final encounter at the Mbombela Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

Either Chiefs or Maritzburg will meet Mamelodi Sundowns in the final at the Moses Mabhida Stadium on 14 December.

‘For me, it doesn’t matter [who we play] – any team that comes across us, it’s either Sundowns or Golden Arrows; it doesn’t matter who we play, we just have to take the same approach and hopefully we bring the silverware back to Naturena,’ Cardoso told the media.

‘Of course, everyone will want a Chiefs and Sundowns final, and I think that’s what’s expected, but you never know; football is a funny game. We’ve got to wait and see until the day comes [to find out who is in the final].’
