Kaizer Chiefs striker Leonardo Castro believes the arrival of marquee signing Khama Billiat will improve Amakhosi’s offensive abilities this season.
The Glamour Boys attacking trio of Castro, Billiat and Dumisani Zuma has scored seven goals while assisting five between them under new coach Giovanni Solinas.

Castro admits that his side struggled in the final their last season under Steve Komphela, but believes that Amakhosi’s are offensively better structured with the likes of Siphelele Ntshangase, Zuma and Billiat in attack.
‘We know the strengths of each one – Ntshangase is a good passer so as the strikers we need to move all the time to create space for him to pass the ball,’ Castro told KickOff.com.
‘Even Zuma is a quick player who is very good at dribbling, so he also provides the ball for us [strikers].

‘As for Billiat, we know each other so we just look with our eyes and take note of which movements we make and where the ball is going, so it’s easier for me to play with Billiat.
‘Last season we struggled with scoring goals. With Billiat now, the soccer up front is easier so that means Khama makes our jobs easier.’
Kaizer Chiefs will be hoping to claim their first win in the Absa Premiership when they travel to Cape Town City on 15 September.
